Val Saint Lambert is a Belgian crystal glassware manufacturer that was founded in 1826. The company which still enjoys prosperity is the official glassware supplier to H.M. King Albert II of Belgium. Val Saint Lambert was founded in the abandoned Val-Saint-Lambert Abbey by a chemist, M. Kemlin. The company is especially well known for its Art Nouveau and Art Deco pieces.
This bowl is probably vintage 1960. It is 8 and 1/2 inches in diameter and about 3 and 1/4 inches deep. The crystal walls are quite thick and the bowl is very heavy. There is usage wear and minor scratches, but over-all the condition is excellent. When "flicked" the glass rings and reverberates as a bell. The etched signature "Val St. Lambert" is on the bottom.
