Here is a fabulous and highly collectible pin made by designer, Adele Simpson. Her high-end jewelry was produced in limited numbers from the 1940’s – 50’s, and this large brooch is among them. This particular pin is made of Sterling Silver metal with gold vermeil. It features 23 round and marquise shaped, faceted crystal rhinestones, as well as a large cushion-cut center stone, which alone measures 1 ¼ x 1 inch, and is ½ inch deep. It sits on golden bows, and has a spray of small florets below it. The florets are prong set with clear crystal rhinestones. The entire brooch measures 3 ½ x 3 ½ inches. The back has two stamps. One is signed “Sterling,” while the other is signed “Adele Simpson.”
