This little mechanical doll has never been displayed or played with. He still works very well and has his original metal key. When wound, he dances on his two chubby papier mache legs. The doll is jointed only at the shoulders. He is papier mache with a very chubby body. His painted shoes are brown and his socks are painted white. His hair and facial features are well painted. His eyes are fine decals. He is slightly over 6” with his hat. His original box is 6 1/2” x 3”. On the end of the box is printed “Foreign, 129”. On the torso of the doll is stamped “Foreign”. He is dressed in Scottish attire including a one piece red and teal kilt with a white bodice. The sash matches the kilt. The sash and the hat have metal thistle pins. The hat, vest and belt are black felt.
