"Young Woman" is an original bronze plaque is by Everett L. Bryant, American, 1864 - 1945, in original condition. The bronze plague is approx. 6" in diameter and signed lower left: "E. L. Bryant" The piece has a cast in place bronze bracket with a hanging wire for wall display. The bronze has original surface patina, however there are scattered areas of minor tarnishing. "Young Woman" is a fine example of early 20th Century bas-relif sculpture with delicate handling of an idealized Victorian woman from the Art Nouveau era.

Below is Everett L. Bryant's biography from the Archives of Askart:

"A painter and muralist, Everett Bryant was known for his floral still lifes and landscapes in watercolor and oil. He was raised in Galion, Ohio, and showed early art talent but had no formal study until he was age 28.

He studied in London with Herbert Herkomer and Monat Loudan, and later in Paris with M. Blanc and Thomas Couture. After three years in Europe, he shared business pursuits with his brother that included a trip to Alaska.

Returning to art, he attended the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts under Thomas Anshutz, William Merritt Chase, and Cecilia Beaux. He married Maude Drein, a fellow student in 1904, and they traveled in Europe. They also spent much time in Southern Maryland, Maine and New Hampshire. In 1909, he moved to Baltimore and in 1930 to Los Angeles where he was active until his death on September 7, 1945".
