This large, signed Eugene flower brooch is wonderful in white! The brooch has a very large, white oval cabochon as the flower. The flower is flanked by small stalks on each side, then a stem and 5 leaves covered with white seed beads. There are also some white berry beads and a smaller flower at the base. A very complex and fabulous piece! Eugene Shultz may have been a Haskell designer before he went out on his own and definitely had a style similar to hers.
Measurements: The tall brooch is approximately 3 inches tall by 1.5 inches wide with a long, vertical pin back that goes down the center back.
Condition: The brooch is in excellent vintage except that the wire has broken and some beads missing from the top left leaf. The metal is in exceptionally good condition. Please use the zoom feature to review all photographs carefully, as they are an important part of the description.
Marks: The back side cartouche is signed "Eugene" in script:. Eugene Shultz opened his jewelry company in NYC in 1952 and was known for his hand made, high quality jewelry that was produced in limited quantities. He closed up his business in about 1962. A collector favorite!
