This is a vintage signed ESPO "Joe Esposito" 14 karat gold electrolyte plated animal ring. My first impression is that is it a cat of some sort, perhaps a jungle cat. The design is a bit generic, so it could be a dog or something else with a tail. Its face has two green rhinestone eyes. The "tail" forms the rest of the ring, ending with a rhinestone studded tail that bypasses the head.
Measurements: The bypass design allows for some size adjustment by pushing the tail part forward or back. It is currently set to be a size 6.5 (to do this, I pushed it forward a bit more than is shown in the photos); but could fit ring sizes from 6 to 7.5.
Condition: It is in good vintage condition. There is a bit of wear to the nose area of the cat - I didn't notice it until I examined the ring with my loupe, but it is visible to the naked eye if you are looking for it. Please review all photographs carefully, as they are an important part of the description.
Markings: The inside band is marked "14KT G.E. ESPO." These stand for 14kt gold electrolyte plating and Joe Esposito. It is estimated to be from the 1970s-80s era when animal jewelry was at their height of popularity.
