This fabulous, vintage Trifari shoe button bracelet features blue glass moonstones in a rare teardrop shape. The shoe button "moonstones" are accented by clear rhinestones in a rhodium plated, silver tone setting.
Brunialti book " American Costume Jewelry 1935 - 1950 Arts and Industry " Vol. 2, page 81, shows a fly that Trifari made in 1940 that used this shoe button, teardrop blue moonstone. The book explains that the "cabochons with a rhinestone in the center are called 'shoe-button' because they look like shoe buttons and were used by Trifari as early as 1938 for necklaces, bracelets and brooches."
Measurements: The bracelet is approximately 7.25 inches long by .375 inches wide with a fold over clasp.
Condition: This bracelet is in very good vintage condition. It has that classic early Trifari look that collectors love. Please use the zoom feature to review all photographs carefully, as they are an important part of the description.
Marks: It is marked (crown) "TRIFARI" on a back side of a link next to the clasp.
