This silver guilloche necklace for Norway was designed by Ivar Holt (aka Holth). It features 16 links, each with three wavy bands of a white guilloche. The edges have a gold wash that has worn to a burnished tone. This rare design is particularly notable because vintage Norway designs tend to be limited and reproduced by many studios. I fell in love with it and intended to keep this for my personal use; however, its length was too short for my neck so... make sure it will fit yours!
Measurements: It is 14.25 inches long by .75 inches wide with a snap in clasp.
Condition: The necklace is in very good vintage condition. I have not cleaned or polished it. Please review all photographs carefully, as they are an important part of the description.
Marks: It is marked on the box clasp with the H in a circle hallmark, which is the mark of Ivar Holt, and "STERLING, NORWAY." The tongue of the clasp also is marked with Holt's hallmark once again and "830S." It dates to the mid 20th century.
NOTE - Sterling jewelry from Norway and Denmark is popular in my shop - put "Norway" into a shop search to discover what else is currently available.
