This Hobe demi parure includes a gorgeous pendant style locket and matching clip earrings. The white cameo is of an old fashioned woman's profile. It is surrounded by marquise topaz brown rhinestones with an oval of green chatons - very high on the bling meter! The locket opens up with frames for two photos and is topped by a lovely teardrop rhinestone. The chain is a twisted design with enough heft to support the weight of the locket. The earrings repeat the design.
When I first saw this set, I immediately thought it might be by Delizza & Eslter, and sure enough - according to Jacqueline Rehmann's book, Classic American Costume Jewelry (Vo. 2, page 255), this set was called the "Roaring Twenties", and it was made by DeLizza & Elster for Hobé around 1965.
Measurements: The chain necklace is almost 25 inches long with a spring ring clasp. The pendant/locket is 1.75 inches tall by 1.25 inches wide. The clip earrings are approximately 1.13 inches tall by 1 inch wide.
Condition: This demi parure set is in near mint condition - does not appear any photos have ever been put in the locket. The metal is bright and the rhinestones sparkle. Please review all photographs carefully, as they are an essential part of the description.
Marks: The back of the locket and the clip earrings are all marked "Hobe."
