This vintage Kay Denning bracelet, brooch and earrings set features fused glass purple blotches on a bronze colored enamel background. Each of the six links and pieces utilizes a tapered trapezoid shape. Kay Denning has a distinctive style - fused glass and enamel on copper metal. I like all her work; however, this the purple/bronze combination on this set is truly special.
Measurements: The bracelet is 7 inches long by 1.625 inches wide with a fold over clasp. The pin is approximately 1.75 inches by 2.25 inches, while the clip earrings are 1 by 1 inch - as measured at the widest points. The trapezoid shape means sides are not equal.
Condition: The parure is in excellent vintage condition. Please use the zoom feature to review all photographs carefully, as they are an important part of the description.
Marks: The bracelet is signed "DENNING" on the back side. The other pieces are not signed. Kay Denning created her own designs and sold them in retail stores from the mid 1950s through the 1970s. She also exhibited her enamel art in the Museum of Contemporary Crafts NYC and the Philadelphia Art Alliance. I first became aware of her work just a couple years ago, and the ones in my personal collection are among my "go to" pieces.
