This is a pair of antique women's gray wool spats, complete with their display case. Spats were designed to protect shoes and socks from the elements, although they ultimately became a fashion statement. These spats are made of gray material, with four buttons on the side, and an ankle strap. Spats fell out of frequent use by the 1930's.
These came to me in a display case with a black background, so I am offering them that way as well. If you would prefer to purchase the spats without the case, please let me know, as it reduces both the price of the spats and the shipping cost.
Measurements: They are 3.75 inches wide at the top, 8.5 inches wide at the bottom and 4.5 inches tall along the buttons. Although men wore spats more often than women, the measurements indicate these belonged to a woman.
Condition: The spats are in very good vintage condition. Please review all photographs carefully, as they are an essential part of the description.
International Customers: If you are interested in these spats, they can be purchased and shipped to you without this case. Please email me for shipping costs to your location.
International Customers: Expect delays for USPS First Class Packages. If you don't see your country listed, contact me. If I can insure it, I can ship it.
