We are pleased to offer this fabulous, antique Edwardian era tea dress. The ivory cotton dress features a crotchet lace collar and hem trim; a double bottom layer for the classic Edwardian look, and wonderful hand work (snaps and hooks, a tie waist). Having never seen an Edwardian dress up close before, it is quite an impressive piece of work! It certainly could make a wonderful wedding dress.
• Edwardian tea dress
• semi-sheer, ivory cotton, slightly yellowed with age
• crotchet lace trims on collar and edge of peplum skirt trim.
Size and Measurements: It is approximately medium size overall .
Bust: 38-40" Waist: 29-30" Hips: 40-44"
Length: 50" Skirt Length: 33" Neck to Sleeve End: 17"
Condition: The dress is in very good condition for its age. There are a couple round, faded yellow spots near the hem, smaller spots elsewhere; and darker, small marks (looks like ink might make) near the hem. You have to look hard for these - the overall impression is quite good. The ivory color has slightly yellowed, as you expect of a dress over 100 years old. Please see photos (flaws are shown) for a more complete description.
