Early 19th century tinsel print depicting E. Kean as Richard III, dated 1825. This charming painted and tinsel decorated print was a craft popular in the early through mid 19th century. Most often the print depicted actors in their roles. One decorating one of these at home might use paint, fabric, tinsel (most pre stamped) and/or other embellishments. This piece is housed in an old birds eye maple frame. Closed with black paper backing. The print is in very good condition with light expected foxing and glue residue. Overall size is approximately 10” x 12.5”.
