Early 19th century tinsel print depicting Mr. Freer as King Henry the 5th. This charming painted and tinsel decorated print was a craft popular in the early through mid 19th century. Most often the print depicted theater actors in their roles. One decorating one of these at home might have used paint, fabric, tinsel (most pre stamped) and/or other embellishments. This print is housed in an old black and gold frame. There are losses to the plaster decoration and wear to the finish on the sides. Closed with black paper backing. The print is in very good condition with light foxing and glue residue. Overall size is approximately 12” tall x 10.5” wide.
