Antique nested set of five bentwood dry measures made by Daniel Cragin. Daniel Cragin was the originator of the Measure Mill in Wilton, NH (1858-1909) before it became Fryes Measure Mill in 1909. The largest size measure has iron bands and handles. All are beautifully made and branded on the bottom boards, "Daniel Cragin Manufactures & Sealer, Wilton, NH". The brand was applied unevenly so it is somewhat difficult to read all the words. This set is in wonderful condition with a warm, even patina and no damage to speak of. Light scratches, dings, stains, wood shrinkage and short splits from age as expected. The largest is approximately 14" in diameter and 9" tall. The other four measures graduate down to the smallest at about 5.5" diameter and 3.5" tall. Beautiful and hard to come by as a complete set.
Shipping note; This set is fairly heavy and will require a large box. Depending upon where you live USPS Parcel Post will be the least expensive option and is calculated for your zip code under 'shipping options' on the right side of this page.
