What a beautiful set this is, as well as, a favorite among Juliana collectors. All pieces are BIG, BOLD, and BEAUTIFUL, and BREATHTAKING!
This set is a BOOK PIECE and is featured in Ann Pitman's "Juliana Jewelry Reference Book" on pages 90 & 91. Bracelet is valued between $250-$300, Brooch valued at $175-$200, and Earrings valued at $75-$100. The set features what D&E refer to as "coffin" shaped rhinestones also known as hexagon. The colors are stunning and just in time for the Fall.
1958, D&E calls the sets color Colorado Topaz hexagons, hyacinth orange and celadon chatons. Each piece is really enormous in size and very impressive. Hexagon/coffin stones are all open back unfoiled along with closed back chatons all prong set. Set in a gold tone setting with minimal wear to back side consistent with vintage age.
Matching bracelet measures 7-1/2" long by 1-1/2" wide and 1/4" deep. Has the classic 5 link construction and figure 8 puddling that Juliana is known for and a fold over clasp and a safety chain and follow through with the coffin/hexagon prong set and open back stones.
Matching brooch measures 3" at its widest point. Closes with a pin and locking c-clasp. Figure 8's and puddling classic of D&E construction. follows through with prong set, open back coffin/hexagon stones along with chatons.
Matching clip on earrings measure 1-1/2" long by 1" wide. Clips nice and tight and again figure 8's and puddling on reverse. Again they follow through with same design in stones. What a great addition to your collection, they just don't make jewelry like this anymore.
