Twenty five blocks in the 9-patch block pattern. These are early 100% cotton fabrics, entirely hand-pieced.
I would estimate these to be circa 1870 to 1880 based on the fabrics used. They may be earlier than that, but I prefer to err to the conservative.
Blocks measure 8.25 inches square and with 1/4 inch seams and will finish to 7.75 inches square.
A few of the blocks have very light stains from long term storage, but the cottons are strong and not brittle. These would make up nicely into a good size quilt. By adding sashing, it could be REALLY large. The possibilities are endless.
