Marked McCoy water pitcher with wide spout and ice catcher.
Design looks like banana leaves wrapped around it with ribbed spout and handle that looks like it has an upper strap holding it to the pitcher.
All glazed and molded with raised McCoy mark on base.
Condition is superior with no chips and the only noted flaw being a minor surface crack on the outer mold seam of the spout. It is a glaze crack only and does not go all the way through...absolutely solid and no sign of a crack on the inside.
Measurements: 8 inches tall, 10 inches from edge of spout to widest part of handle; 5-1/2 inches across. Top opening is oval and measures 4 inches x 3-1/4 inches.
I am listing my 30 year collection of early pottery that I had displayed in my circa 1840s home. It has been boxed up for six years , ever since I moved away from that old house. I have nowhere to display it in my newer home, so I've decided to let it move on to someone else who enjoys this early pottery. Check the other pottery and antiques I will be listing over the next few days and weeks.
