Two piece c1870s doll dress from a 20" doll, is made from beautiful striped silk with French Blue silk trim and braid accents. The waist of the skirt does not fit the mannequin I used for display, which creates the kind of baggy bottom look on the form.
The costume is completely lined in French Tan glazed cotton. As shown in the photos, there is quite a bit of wear to the silk, though this is still a truly lovely costume and is priced reasonably to reflect this. The rose ribbon trims were added some time ago, but were not original to the garment. Snap closures have been added to both the bodice and the skirt.
Bodice measures 5" across the shoulders. The following measurements are taken with the snaps in their current location, though another 1/2" or so could be gained by moving or removing them. Chest is 11", waist is 9-3/4", sleeve 4" long. Skirt is 10-1/2" long with a 8-1/4" waist.
Note: This dress came to me on a body I have listed separately (DP-A934). It made a 20" doll and the skirt fell to mid-calf to represent a young lady.
