Circa 1860s Civil War Era china head only, measuring 4-1/2 inches high from base of shoulder plate to top of head.
Facial painting includes shaded blue eyes, black lash lines, red lid lines, slightly smiling mouth, and lightly blushed cheeks. She has a white center part in her hair and she has a protruding chin and appears to me to represent a mature lady. Her head is positioned slightly downward in a demure pose.
Shoulders measure 3-3/4 inches across and 2-1/4 inches thickness front to back. Both these measurements were measured in a straight line on the inside of the shoulder plate.
Condition: Excellent; no chips, cracks, or repairs and virtually NO wear to the hair paint. Superior condition overall!
She would make a doll about 18 - 19 inches tall when mounted on the proper body.
Please note that I do have a body listed as item number DP-45 which fits this head beautifully.
