Here is a stunning early bisque head bebe from mid 1880's from Emile Jumeau. She is about 23" tall and has recently arrived from an estate in Lyon, France. She is marked on head Depose E10J with artist checkmarks and marked with blue Jumeau stamp on the body. Head has beautiful coloring in pale pinkish peach with no rubs. Bisque has no cracks, hairlines, chips or repairs of any kind. Head is attached with original spring. Eyes are gorgeous dark blue paperweight in their original set. Ears are applied.
Body is all original early 8-ball jointed with original body finish. No repaint. No damage to fingers or toes. Stringing is tight.
She has medium blonde mohair wig and original cork pate. She wears old undies and a gorgeous dress I made her from very old silk fabric in the style of an actual Jumeau dress shown in photo. Dress is adorned with big flouncy flower on the waist and a gold bebe type pin. I also made her wool hat with silk brim to match the hat in the photo. Hat has silk trim and feathers. Lastly she wears original striped socks and original albeit frail leather lace-up boots. This is a great example of the classic EJ bebe.
