We are pleased to be offering today this wonderful set of 4 formal early Victorian walnut assembled dining room chairs that dates from the 1880's. it is a great looking set of four that consists of 3 oversize side chairs and an oversize arm chair. They are nice quality. Unusual back with a shield design in the back, scrolled arms, rosette carving on the corner blocks and a great looking set. The three side chairs are truly matching, but the arm chair is similar yet different. The front legs on the side chairs are turned a little different. They are all the same age, style and same fabric. These are getting tough to find. If these aren’t European than they are likely copies. The overall size of the side chairs are 19 inches wide, 18 inches deep, 36 inches high to the back and 19 inches high to the seat. The arm chair is 22 inches wide, 22 inches deep, 36 inches high to the back and 19 inches high to the seat. The only thing wrong with the chairs is the webbing has been rotted and needs to be re-webbed. The same upholstery could be re-used as it is in good condition. There is a lamination seam on the arms of the chairs near the glue blocks, which we can touch up prior to shipping if the buyer so desires. Shipping starts at $225 for a driveway delivery in our normal area. Please contact us prior to purchase to confirm that you are in our normal area.
