Offered today are these wonderful set of 6 early Victorian carved solid walnut dining chairs with leather seats and backs dating from the 1920's. The upholstery which is a very dark tan leather that has been dyed and is in outstanding condition. The chairs have a fluted bulbous leg with a very unusual cross stretcher joins the back legs to the front legs of this Victorian Tudor style chair. There is a center carved crest with fluted finials on the tops, then a padded back and below are multiple turn dainty spindles, carvings on the crest and especially on the post finishes off these great chairs. The seats are accented with an unusual brass upholster tack, which is bigger on the seat and smaller on the back that is normally a European touch. You are getting all six chairs for one money. The leather is all good, The chairs are fairly tight, but we recommend that all chairs be re-glued for daily use. The chairs have the normal nicks and dings from normal use These are quite unique with solid wood carved frames and leather upholstery. The width of seat is 17 1/2, depth of seat is 16 1/2, and the height of the chair is 41 inches high. The shipping starts at $249 if you are within our normal area.
