Fine Circa 1800 English Lathe Turned Walnut Goblet - image 1 of 4

Late 18th/early 19th century English lathe-turned walnut goblet. This pleasing Georgian drinking vessel features a rimmed top, graduated base and finely-turned knopped stem.

The goblet stands 5 3/8" high, measures 2 5/8" in diameter across the top, 2 1/4" across the base. It is in very, very good condition. There are no chips, cracks or restorations. Minor roughness around the rim of the foot which I would consider expected wear only. The walnut has a lovely grain and wonderful warm patina.
