We have had full size fenders in this style but this is our first miniature and it's really quite wonderful! I am not sure if it is a Victorian doll house miniature, an apprentice piece or just a cleverly shaped trivet...I have a 19th century copper bachelor's kettle that looks perfect on it.
This fine little fender measures 2 3/4" high by 7 7/8" wide by 4 1/4" deep. It is in very good undamaged condition. The brass is a nice heavy gauge and has a lovely warm patina.
A rare and pleasing piece dating to the first half of the 19th century.
Fine antique porcelains, glass, silver, decorative accessories and perhaps a surprise or two!
