A superb late 19th century English silverplate drinks tray, or salver. This decorative salver has an intricately engraved central scroll and shell design and a gracefully scalloped rim with heavy cast border broken with figural shells. The piece sits solidly on three beautifully cast feet.
This tray measures 12 1/2" in diameter and is in very, very good undamaged condition. There are two very tiny, shallow dings. There are no dents, deep scratches or gouges. There is no silver loss and the silver has a lovely soft patina. A nice solid piece weighing two pounds. The bottom is hallmarked as per photo.
The early 19th century cut glass wines pictured with the tray are also available in our shop.
