This pretty hand-painted botanical motif porcelain plate was produced by the Samuel Alcock Potteries in Burslem, Staffordshire, in the mid-19th century.
The plate measures 9 1/8" in diameter and is in very good undamaged condition. There are no chips, cracks or restorations. There is very little surface wear and no crazing. The glaze is still very lustrous and the colors very vibrant. It is stamped on the back 'Alfred B. Pearce, 39 Ludgate, London' which was an upscale London retailer in the last half of the 19th century.
