Welcome to my shop, The Strands of Time. I hope that you will enjoy browsing through the fine vintage and antique jewelry items in the shop and find something that is special. Please refer to “Terms of Sale” on each page.
Obert Clark Tanner founded the O.C. Tanner jewelry company in 1927. The business grew from making class rings to making first class jewelry. The company works mainly in gold and platinum.
In the late 1990's, O.C. Tanner made this unique set. It was trademarked in 1997 and was produced to be sold during the XIX Salt Lake Winter Olympics. The set is quite distinctive. Both the earrings and pendant are made of solid 14K yellow gold and weigh a substantial 6.9 grams.
The pendant has a 1" drop, is 11/16" wide and 1/8" front to back. The olympics emblem is dimensional with a small version on top of a larger version. The outer edge of the design is highly polished and reflective. The inside has a matte gold that is textured. The texture was almost impossible to capture in photos. The back of the pendant is marked "TM 1997" and has the O.C. Tanner trademark. It is hallmarked "14K." The bail is large and can accommodate larger chains or cords.
The earrings are 3/8" in diameter and have one level of the emblem. The earrings are post/friction back for pierced ears. The backs have another Tanner hallmark "cTo." They are also hallmarked "14K."
The pieces are in excellent condition.
I am always open to reasonable offers but, if items are reduced or on sale, they are already at the lowest prices.
