Welcome to my shop, The Strands of Time. I hope that you will enjoy browsing through the fine vintage and antique jewelry items in the shop and find something that is special. Please refer to “Terms of Sale” on each page.
This Scottish Rite Fourteenth degree ring is a flat, plain band of gold. It has an equilateral triangle and within the triangle is the Hebrew letter yod, the initial letters of Jehovah in Hebrew. Inside the ring is inscribed the Fourteenth Degree Motto:" Virtus Junxit, Mors Non Separabit" that means virtue has united and death shall not separate. The rings circle stands for the unbreakable fraternal bond between Masons of all generations. When the owner dies, the ring should go into the hands of his widow, eldest son, a special friend or another Scottish Rite Mason.
This nice ring is made of solid 14K yellow gold and hallmarked as such. It is size 10, is 1/4 inch wide and weighs 4.6 grams. It has the traditional motto inside and also has the symbol of a rooster. The rooster may have been part of a hallmark.
I don't know the exact date of this ring but based upon the style of the motto, I believe that it is one of the older rings probably 1920's.
The ring is in very good condition.
I am always open to reasonable offers but, if items are reduced or on sale, they are already at the lowest prices.
