American sterling silver tea caddy spoon in the Douvaine pattern by Unger Brothers, c.1904.
Listed elsewhere as a bon bon scoop, we take exception to this apparent incorrect categorization, as the gilt bowl is too small and the handle too short to be a candy spoon or scoop.
Weighing 15 grams, this wonderful Art Nouveau spoon is 4 1/2" long with a bowl 1 3/8" wide and 1 3/4" long.
The soft, warm, original finish is present, with no buffing or machine polishing.
The excellent original condition and clear, crisp detail, with no monograms, removals, repairs or alterations, make this an especially attractive offering.
