This handsome and unusual Royal Canadian Air Force presentation trowel is 12" long and weighs 234 grams or 7.5 ozs Troy. The spatula has a silver mounted hard wood handle. The trowel is inscribed on its blade: Presented to Air Marshal W A Curtis, S.B., C.B.E., D.S.C., E.D. Chief of the Air Stuff R.C.A.F. by the Officers R.C.A.F. Staff College on the occasion of his laying of the Cornerstone Air Marshal Curtis Hall May 2 - 1952. This very special presentation trowel would also work very well as a cake or pie server.
The soft, warm, original finish is present, with no buffing or machine polishing.
The excellent original condition and clear detail, with no removals, repairs or alterations, make this an especially attractive offering.
