American sterling silver serving fork in a most unusual Baroque style pattern by William B. Durgin, c.1890.
This special fork has a cast, open work or pierced handle with fancy scroll and shell designs and a 4 tined bowl. The detail on the handle is fabulous.
Weighing a substantial 108 grams or 3.5 ozs. Troy, this scarce and desirable fork is 8 1/2" in length. The tines and bowl are 3 1/8" long.
The excellent original condition and clear, crisp detail, with no monograms, removals, repairs or alterations, make this an especially attractive offering.
The soft, warm, original finish is present, with no buffing or machine polishing.
