English George III era sterling silver sugar tongs, decorated with engraved patterns on the handles with a monogram "LW" on the top. Made by George Wintle, London, c. 1790.
These glorious tongs are 5 3/8" long and weigh 34.4 grams 1.1 ozs Troy.
The soft, warm, original finish is present, with no buffing or machine polishing.
