English George III era sterling silver sugar tongs in the fiddle pattern, having an engraved monogram "JM" on the top. Made by Thomas Walson, Newcastle, 1805.
These solid antique tongs are 5 3/4" long and weigh 46 grams or 1.5 ozs Troy.
The soft, warm, original finish is present, with no buffing or machine polishing.
