A great snapshot into the early days of BSA, being offered are a set of (3) Certificates of Achievement from the same scout from Troop 17 in Bellevile Illinois. These cards were presented with the badges back in the day, but being paper, were often lost or discarded, where the badges were saved, making these much scarcer than the original badges.
There are two merit badge certificates, one for Firemanship from 1937 and one for Animal Industry from 1939. The third certificate is for Star Scout from 1938. The certificates are miniature works of art, with the BSA logo, merit badges along the edges, and miniature signatures of Roosevelt, Beard, and West.
The cards are in original, un-restored condition. They are printed on card stock, and each has been folded and exhibits wear associated with age. The Star Scout certificate has been folded twice and has some minor paper loss at the bottom of the card at the fold. Please look at the photos to confirm condition.
