This would date to the late 20s or early 1930s when Art Deco was in full bloom. Unique aspect of this chandelier, besides it's superb design and style, are butterflies which are cast between each arm of the fixture. Deco inspired floral patterns appear on each of the 5 arms as well as the bottom round and the ceiling canopy. Amber slip shades fit perfectly into the cup shaped holders. All shades in excellent condition.
Overall a beautiful centerpiece fixture. We sometimes get matching wall sconces but they do sell quickly.
We have another fixture which has a center harp between the main fixture body and the chain without the 5 outer support rods from the main fixture body and the chain. Refinished in one of its original colors. Original pull switch at bottom disabled.
60 watt max each socket.
Height: 26 1/2 inches which can be adjusted.
Width: 17 inches
It is particularly important with any vintage or antique item you are considering buying over the internet that you be able to see enlarged images of the item. Dealers know is that defects, uneven color, or poor workmanship are easily hidden by small or unfocused images. This cannot be stressed enough, you need to know exactly what you are getting and no amount of verbiage (overabundance or superfluity of words, as demonstrated here) of how great their product is can replace sharp, large images. Not showing larger images is an apology for poor quality and poor service.
