Solid cast iron construction with a pleasing organic design cast into the finish, looking somewhat like the bark of a tree with the socket covers looking like a bit of the tree trunk. Similar to the way many of the Bungalows and Craftsman homes were anchored to the earth with clinker bricks around the bottom of the porch or chimney.
These were designed to be bare bulb fixtures where ceiling height was a concern, like many of the 1920s Bungalows. They have only a 2 1/2 inch drop without bulbs.
