Attic Find!! Lovely French Fashion by Emile Jumeau....France circa 1870. Beautiful pale, creamy bisque head on kid lined shoulderplate.

Dreamy light blue glass enamel paperweight eyes with dark outer rim.

Dark eyeliner and finest painting of long lashes and feathered brows.

Beautiful deep modeling of closed mouth with pale accented lips'.

Original French kid leather body with gusset joints at the elbows , hips and knees . Fine stitched, separate fingers ..........and a nice big butt!

Size: 15 1/4". She will be taller when a pate and wig are added.

Condition: Bisque head and shoulderplate are in excellent condition......free of hairlines, cracks, repairs. Kid body is in very good condition. One repair on upper arm, otherwise strong and sturdy. I cleaned the bisque. Exposed parts of body could use a cleaning. There is no pate and no wig. One earring wire is still present.

Doll comes in "as found" clothing. There is a straw hat. There is a corset. And there are drawers.

She is listed here at below market value, passing a good deal on to you. She is a great buy for a collector who would like the opportunity to wig and dress her. She is a great buy for a dealer who would like to wig and dress her and sell her for a profit.
