Authentic 19th c. cotton print skirt ......this is not a skirt made recently of old fabric. The fabric is a lovely tiny floral sprig print in red that reads pink when viewed from a distance. I would date the fabric as circa 1840-1860. There is a white cotton tape that decorates the bottom of the skirt along with mother of pearl buttons down the front opening. The waist is gathered so the size could be easily altered to fit your doll.
Perfect for a 19th c. doll......wood, wax, papier mache, etc.
Size: center front 9 " ; waist 6" ; 29" measurement around the bottom.
Condition; Overall excellent. The back has 2 stains.....looks like finger prick blood when the skirt was being sewn.
A great authentic skirt for a favorite 19th c. doll.
