This silk vest for a man was made in the 19thc. I found it in Upstate New York. The silk on the outside is a deep charcoal brown color and the inside silk is pink. It is entirely hand quilted, as you can see in the photos. There are nice covered buttons....all there and all in fine condition.
Condition: It is in remarkably fine condition. There is some discoloration and wear at the back center from folding (see photos). And, there is wear on the back left where the arm would rub (see photo)....the owner of the vest must have been left handed!
Size: Center back measurement is 16" long, the measurement across the front under the arms is approximately 22"
A nice example to add to your collection.
