This Tlaquepaque Redware bowl, 8 3/4" in diameter, and 3 3/4" tall looks tohave considerable age. The inner and outer edge is glazed black, and that color extends 2/3 down the outside. Two rising suns/sunflowers, and traditional feather work decorate the sides. The top rim has some glaze chips, as does the inside base. No pottery chips or cracks, and no signature, or place of origin, on the bottom. This is a very artistic piece of pottery.
