This piece of Mexican redware, produced in the Tlaquepaque region, is in the Fantasia style, and is decorated with flowers, vines, butterflies and fish, in black and white, with blue/grey banding on the lid and side. The white has mellowed to a yellow/ beige color. The set has three applied handles, and shows an old repair where a sizable piece of the lid has been glued back on. The pot is 13" long, about 9" wide, and 4 1/2" tall, plus an additional inch for the handle. The bottom has a black ink Mexico mark.
