This is a very rare antique wicker settee. This natural Victorian settee has elaborate details throughout. It retains the highly prized original natural finish with green highlights. This special piece is in excellent age appropriate condition Circa 1890's.
This beautiful antique wicker settee has a serpentine rolled back that flows into the arms. The back has a diamond design woven into it along with fancy reedwork. It has elaborate cascades of curlicues and spool work throughout along with a set in cane seat. It has a shapely front skirting that connects the cane wrapped cabriole legs that end in brass caps.
This is an exceptionally fine example of what the Golden Age of American wicker furniture produced. Pieces of this rarity seldom come to market. Attributed to Heywood Brothers and Wakefield Company. Circa 1890's.
