This is a beautiful, deep, antique wood picture frame with decorative applied gesso.
It has elaborate designs throughout. The frame is in excellent condition and retains the old gold finish with a nice patina with age appropriate wear. I believe this frame was painted a long time ago over gold gilding. Circa 1890's.
