This is a rare antique wicker Morris chair with beautiful details throughout. The back is hinged and adjustable. The hinges have been replaced with new brass hinges. This special chair has long shapely arms ending in a ram’s horn design. There is decorative beadwork and curlicues below the arms. Wooden slats make up the back and seat. This rare Morris chair adjusts to 4 positions. It retains the original brass hardware and bar. The cabriole front legs are shapely and end in brass caps.
This is a large and high back chair suitable for a tall person. It is strong, sturdy and comfortable.
This chair is in excellent vintage condition painted in Benjamin Moore Navajo White. It has new Waverly fabric and foam cushions.
I am also offering another fancy Victorian chair #d2719 in the same paint color and fabric. They would look lovely in the same room.
