The underplate on this set is in excellent condition. Just a few very teeny little brownish spots around the edges like you commonly see on pottery this age. The gravy boat still looks great to display, but it has some yellowing, quite a bit of crazing, and it looks like someone has used some white paint (that almost matches the pottery) to try and cover up some light hairlines (I counted 3). Both pieces are marked on the base - W.H. Grindley & Co England - Milan.
