Good condition for the age. It does show wear and discoloration from age, but overall still in great shape. I believe the purse itself is made of brass - you can see the rim when you open it. The outside is covered in a silk or satin type fabric and has decorative edging all around it. There are beads hanging from the bottom of the purse (I don't see any missing), and embroidered flowers on the top. The chain appears to be brass and has small beads on it. The purse is lined in green velvet.
It has an ornate brass latch on the front (it does still work) and a matching hinge on the back. All of the fabrics are somewhat discolored and show some stained spots. The brass latch and hinge are both somewhat rusty. The satin fabric on the top of the purse isn't the neatest around the hinges - the cuts are a little uneven and it's a little bit frayed. The velvet on the inside is in excellent condition.
Please email for any more photos or if you have any questions.
The purse measures about 1 3/4" tall (not including the fringe on the bottom or the handle), 2 1/2" wide, and 1 3/4" deep. No markings on it that I can find. There is a quarter in some of the photos for a size reference.
