This beautiful Art Deco era Cambridge centerpiece set in their “Light Emerald” color will add elegance to any room in your home or office -- foyer, boudoir or dining table.
The background I used is dark and makes the color appear a bit odd in the first picture, but this is a pretty shade of transparent light green glass.
The bowl she sits in is reminiscent of a small pond with a lovely lady at center. You can arrange flowers and greens to partially hide the Draped Lady, or simply float blossoms in the bowl around her. Put candles in the candlestick holders and turn out the lights for an intimate dinner.
There is so much potential for a perfect setting with this set - holiday tables, weddings, religious events or holy days.
The beautiful lady flower frog is semi-nude and sparingly draped in the front. The accompanying bowl has superb flowing contours.
I believe this set to be Vaseline or Uranium glass but it has not been tested.
The set includes the Draped Lady flower frog, float bowl and candlestick holders.
The condition of this set is exceptionally good, without cracks or chips. There does not appear to be any scratches. It does have bubbles typical of Depression Glass.
The Draped Lady frog is 8-3/4 inches tall top to bottom, with a 10 hole 4” base. She is a Cambridge #518.
The large float bowl has a ringed base and is about 12 inches in diameter by 3-3/4 inches deep. It is the perfect size for the lady frog. The candlestick holders are 4-1/2 inches tall.
Cambridge took out an ad showing the #518 Draped Lady Flower Frog, in the 1929 issue of China, Glass and Lamps. The matching float bowl is Cambridge #992. The candlestick holders Cambridge #639.
