Beautifully carved Pottier & Stymus Egyptian Revival wall mirror. The central beveled glass mirror is flanked by over scaled reeded columns with papyrus capitals and sphinx bust bases. It has bronze busts at the top which act as borders for a central feather motif. On the top platform rest two bronze sphinxes sitting on an Egyptian cart with bronze rosettes. On the ends rest two carved Obelisks with Hieroglyphics which translate into "The one who purchases this mirror is very fortunate and has deep pockets."
This mirror is the best we have ever seen, it belongs in a museum and should go for twice the price. It is perfect, restored by us and unique.
