This piece is indescribably beautiful, and a work of art. The diamond shaped base is done in 18k yellow gold (tested) with an inner dome of filigreed white enamel. This is the easel on which the artist created the piece using all genuine stones and diamonds. All of the stones are cushion set. The top stone is a round, pink tourmaline (approx 1.50 carat tw). It is surrounded by 12 old miner cut diamonds (60 pts tw). Also framing the center stone you will find two pear shaped European cut diamonds (approx 1 carat each tw), a pink sapphire in lovely color (approx 2 carats tw) and a light toned peridot (approx 2 carats tw). Interspersed between these larger stones, you will find four smaller genuine Rubies (approx 1 carat tw). All of this sits upon the white enameled dome. Beneath the dome there is a ring of 20 old miner cut diamonds (approx 70 pts tw) sitting in black enamel. From each of the four points of the piece flow tooled fleur de lis with three pearls and an onyx bead. Between each of these points are four more pearls. The overall dimension is 3" x 3" x 1/2". Simply said, stunning!
On the reverse side, you will find a pin with a strong locking clasp. It also has a strong hook which would be used for hanging this piece from a set of pearls or other necklace. You will note on the back, at each point there are two smaller hooks from which earrings could be hung. They would hang at different lengths. While the addition of earrings would give this piece an over the top look, it graces itself when worn alone.
